FUTURE PLANS OF THE DEPARTMENT

• Establish Centre of Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing Systems in collaboration with Industry and R&D organisations leading to interdisciplinary research for the design and development of new innovative products.
• Establish Centre of Excellence in developing and testing of low cost and high quality materials.
• Establish Centre for composite products development.
• Department plan to improve the consultancy activities by utilizing expertise of the faculty and infrastructure available in the department for various organisations in Hyderabad.
•   Establish Skill development centre with the support of MSME, Govt. of India for training ITI, Diploma and UG students.
• Intensify the number of modern learning platforms for the students to enhance their
• technical skills.
• Introduce certificate courses in various disciplines using the facilities in the department thus generating internal revenue for the department.
• Establish Centre for Research & Development of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.
