ABOUT THE LIBRARY:
It is housed in a spacious double storied building with a plinth area of about 2420 square meters, built on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the College of Engineering in 1992. The Library collection can be accessed through web OPAC. Zebra Link Barcode printer is used to generate barcode labels. It is proposed to install KOHA with RFID Technology for complete library automation. The digital library is also being upgraded.
The Library has procured HP ProLiant ML350 Gen9 server for providing online access to e – journals. All Library users are provided with bar-coded identity cards.
The Library has facilities like lending services (Books Issue & Returns),Inter Library Loan, Web/intranet based information services and Wi-fi Services. The Library also has a book bank for SC/ST students. An additional floor area of 400 m² has been added to the reading room in the year June 2016.
The Library procures and stocks books for all six branches engineering. Online journals are available for various specializations of PG programmes. In addition, literature is also available to cater for the requirements of the students for various competitive examinations.

About 40 systems have been installed to access the following online journals.

- Non-University Fund of the College
- Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP)
- The Library is kept open on all working days from 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m
- Reading Room is kept open from 9:00 a.m to 12 Midnight ahead of university examinations and other competitive exams.
LEARNING RESOURCES CENTRE:
On the lines of Advanced Educational Centers like IIT’S the University College of Engineering has established a Learning Resource Centre. About 2372 CDs/DVDs acquired from IIT’s, SOFTTECH and SONET
LIBRARY COLLECTION:
At present the library has collection of books and current journals and back volumes as given below as on 31.03.2019.
